Almost 180 law enforcement officers serving more than 600 documented communities within eight contiguous counties of Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio have died as a result of their service. The Greater Cincinnati Police Historical Society has no greater mission than the commemoration of these fallen brothers and sister and has dedicated itself to that effort.
The Society is a charitable non-profit corporation. It operates the Greater Cincinnati Police Museum where these officers are memorialized and visitors may read and hear of their exploits and those of all law enforcement officers of the more than 100 agencies that have served the region for more than two centuries.
The Museum receives no government assistance; charges no admission fees; and is completely reliant on donations and events such as the Police Memorial Bike Ride.
