Patrolman Kneisel, of 4042 Colerain Avenue, on December 17, 1937, was responding on Clifton Avenue to a radio call.  His car skidded on wet street car rails and slid into a loading dock at 3043 Clifton Road.  He was removed from his patrol car and taken to nearby Good Samaritan Hospital, but was dead on arrival from a crushed thorax and hemorrhage. 

Patrolman Kneisel left a wife, Anna (55), and three children; Ethel (25), Ruth (23), and Charles (21).  He was buried in Spring Grove Cemetery on December 22, 1937, at 3 p.m.  Anna joined him 20 years later during March 1957.
