Age:  26

David Rogers, on August 18, 1917, entered World War I and by the end of the war, November 1918, had been promoted to the rank of Sergeant.  After leaving the military, he joined the Covington Police Department.

Patrolman Rogers assumed motorcycle duties and on May 13, 1923, while pursuing a speeder, suffered a fatal accident at 26th and Madison Streets. 

Patrolman Rogers was survived by his wife, Sylvia, and parents, Tinsley and Cora.  He was buried in Highland Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell.
