Age 37

While making an arrest of Joseph Carver, a Hamilton City policeman, Patrolman Craig Scott, of 118 Richmond Street, suffered a gunshot wound to his leg.  The leg became infected and he died January 10, 1893.

Patrolman Scott left a wife of three years, Sallie, and was buried in the Colored American Cemetery on Duck Creek Road.
